Job Title: Pharmacist
Location: Tampa, FL 33634
Duration: 12 months (possible extension or conversion)
Shift: 9:00 AM 5:30 PM, Monday Friday
We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our specialty pharmacy team. This role plays a key part in prescription fulfillment, ensuring patients receive timely and accurate access to critical specialty medications for complex conditions.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform final verification of prescription orders, including REMS, controlled substances, and home infusion.
Dispense and document specialty medications, ensuring accuracy in drug selection, dosage, lot, and NDC entry.
Support timely fulfillment to meet patient "need by" dates.
Manage inventory: receiving, unpacking, stocking, and rotating medications to prevent aging/expiration.
Assist with shipping and packaging, ensuring proper handling for refrigerated and ambient medications.
Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and ensure operational excellence.
BS in Pharmacy or PharmD (required).
Active Florida Pharmacist License (required); multistate licensure preferred.
Previous pharmacist experience (retail, hospital, or specialty).
Experience with specialty/mail-order pharmacy is preferred.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and pharmacy systems.
Experience managing inventory and supervising pharmacy technicians is a plus.
Accuracy in verification, dispensing, and shipping.
Efficiency in order completion and workflow support.
Team collaboration and willingness to assist across functions.
Strong inventory management and compliance with expiration controls.
