Title: School Van Driver
Reports to: AA Supervisor

Program Hours: Monday – Friday 6:00am – 9:00am and 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM (split shift)
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Position Summary
To transport students to and from school and other sites within designated route(s) and to ensure the safety of the student passengers while in a Kayne Eras school vehicle. Employees in this classification receive general supervision within a framework of standard policies and procedures. This position is responsible for the safe operation of a school vehicle and for ensuring the safety of student passengers while meeting established bus schedules.

· Comply with ECF’s Injury and Illness Prevention Program. Ensure safe use and operation of tools and/or equipment.
· Comply with ECF policies and procedures, including mandated reporting requirements.
· Regular, reliable attendance.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Ability to implement/perform First Aid/CPR/NCI
Qualifications
Education/Licenses/Certifications: High School Diploma
Experience: Have held a valid driver’s license for at least three years.
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:
Requirements
Driving is an essential function of this position. Proof of valid California driver’s license, reliable transportation, evidence of state-mandated car insurance, and insurable driving record are required. While driving for work should a need arise, the employee’s insurance is deemed primary and ECF’s coverage is secondary; motorcycles are not permitted while driving for ECF, may only be used when commuting to and from your home to main worksite.
Work Environment
This is a school environment for students (K–12th grade) who have varying degrees of learning, behavioral, emotional, and developmental disabilities. Employee may encounter students who are in crisis, exhibiting emotional/psychological distress or behaving in an aggressive manner. Administrative work will be performed in a separate office. However, incumbent will circulate in classrooms, outdoors, and other locations for meetings and special events. Environment may include frequent interruptions, loud noise, odors, varying indoor temperature, and drafts. Outdoor temperature and weather will vary.
