Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: 2–5 Year Contract
We are seeking an experienced and registered Ultrasound Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform and assist in a variety of ultrasound examinations, provide technical support to Radiologists, and ensure the proper maintenance and operation of ultrasound equipment. This position requires a skilled, detail-oriented professional committed to delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with established imaging standards and safety procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures following established protocols and techniques.
Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment while ensuring patient and staff safety.
Set up, clean, and perform minor maintenance on ultrasound equipment.
Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and materials for daily operations.
Capture diagnostic images, upload to PACS, and ensure accurate transfer to physician workstations.
Assist in the orientation and mentorship of new ultrasound personnel.
Respond to calls, schedule exams, and assist with patient transport as needed.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with department policies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or ARRT (Sonography) .
Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
Strong understanding of medical imaging processes and equipment safety.
Excellent communication , problem-solving , and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a clinical team.
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification or equivalent required.
ARDMS registration preferred.
Continuing education credits maintained in accordance with registry requirements.
