Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist 

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Duration: 2–5 Year Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and registered Ultrasound Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform and assist in a variety of ultrasound examinations, provide technical support to Radiologists, and ensure the proper maintenance and operation of ultrasound equipment. This position requires a skilled, detail-oriented professional committed to delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with established imaging standards and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures following established protocols and techniques.

  • Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment while ensuring patient and staff safety.

  • Set up, clean, and perform minor maintenance on ultrasound equipment.

  • Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and materials for daily operations.

  • Capture diagnostic images, upload to PACS, and ensure accurate transfer to physician workstations.

  • Assist in the orientation and mentorship of new ultrasound personnel.

  • Respond to calls, schedule exams, and assist with patient transport as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with department policies.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or ARRT (Sonography) .

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.

  • Strong understanding of medical imaging processes and equipment safety.

  • Excellent communication , problem-solving , and decision-making skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a clinical team.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.

Education & Certifications
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification or equivalent required.

  • ARDMS registration preferred.

  • Continuing education credits maintained in accordance with registry requirements.
