Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Flexible Schedule – Connecticut

About the Opportunity:
We are seeking experienced and flexible Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants) to support urgent care clinic operations across several counties in Connecticut. This is a great opportunity for providers who enjoy variety in their work setting and thrive in fast-paced, autonomous environments.
Coverage is primarily needed across New Haven, Middlesex, New London, Windham, Tolland, Hartford, and Litchfield Counties . Schedules will be coordinated to keep locations close together as much as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality urgent care services to patients of all ages
Diagnose and treat minor illnesses and injuries
Perform procedures including suturing, wound care, incision & drainage, and splinting
Interpret and act on diagnostic tools such as X-rays and EKGs
Collaborate with clinical support teams and maintain thorough documentation
Scheduling Details:
Weekend availability strongly preferred (especially Fridays through Sundays)
Weekday shifts may also be available, particularly on Mondays and Fridays
Must be comfortable with: • Traveling up to 45 minutes between clinic sites • Occasionally splitting a day between two locations • Adapting to last-minute schedule changes when necessary
Preference given to local providers or those not requiring air travel
Qualifications:
Active Connecticut state license (or ability to obtain quickly)
At least 1–2 years of recent urgent care or emergency medicine experience
Proven ability to manage a high patient volume (20+ patients per 12-hour shift)
Proficient in urgent care procedures
Comfortable seeing pediatric through adult populations
Certifications Required:
BLS (Required)
ACLS, PALS (Preferred)
Active DEA license (assigned in Connecticut)
